JULY 1 THRU SEPTEMBER 15 -  8:30 TO 4:00

group classes

We have regularly scheduled group lessons that coincide with our wildflower meadow being in full bloom. It was designed for teaching a host of photographic techniques. bring a lunch and a cool drink, and then join us for our “Photo Lunch Q&A Session”. Our aim is to make you a better photographer, so after lunch, we encourage you to roam the property and put your new skills to use. In our general photo classes, you will learn the basics about depth of field, and shutter speeds, but you will also have the chance to sample our different habitats to learn more about specific types of photography such as macro, landscape, and bird photography.  We will also discover techniques in composition and tricks of the trade for when you want to put your own spin on your images. In addition to the meadow we have our own river, a waterfall, and bird feeding stations complete with photo blinds. Although we want you to explore and practice on your own, we are always around to give you more tips and help with any areas of photography you might need a little more help with.

BESPOKE CLASSES + TOURS

b&b photo packages

Do you want a more immersive learning experience? We work with many of the local b&b’s and motels and offer pre arranged packages. Typically three nights + two days of instruction. This is a much more intense learning experience as the extra time allows us more flexibility in how we structure the classes, which can include some time learning post production adjustments in Lightroom. The cost will be determined by the lodging you choose and the number of days you wish for your program. We can also recommend some local B&B's or hotels for those taking part in any of our classes.

OM SYSTEMS PROGRAM

RATE: FREE

loaner camera + lens

We will teach with any camera system you are using, but if you are in need or would like to try out specialized equipment without the expense of buying it, we can provide you with a loaner camera and lens. Through our good friends at OM System, we have a limited amount of cameras and a selection of lenses available for our students to borrow during their class. We have some of the most advanced cameras and lenses available and can teach you how to use the newest computational photography methods. We ask that you bring your own SD card so you can bring home the images you have made here at the Photo Farm. It is necessary for you to reserve a camera in advance to insure we have sufficient cameras for everyone to use. You will be responsible for caring for the camera and lenses during use.
